With friends in Dinant:
It was yet another day trip with my friends, this time was our destination Dinant.
This french speaking (walloon) village is situated on the river Meuse, in the province of Namur (Belgium).Dinant is one of the oldest village of Belgium, it was already populated in the Ancient times (Celtic, Roman). In the 7th century, Saint Perpete, the bishop of Tongeren, settled himself in Dinant as hometown and founded the church of Saint Vincent. In the 11th century, the emperor Henry IV granted several rights over Dinant to the Prince-Bishop of Liège. From that time on, the city became one of the 23 ‘’bonnes villes’’ (or principal cities) of the Bishopric of Liège.
Photographs: used an external flash to foreground the object as in the technic of Martin Parr.
